How to Travel Copenhagen in One Day

Copenhagen is a beautiful Nordic city that can be seen in summer or winter. It’s located in Denmark, the happiest country in the world, known for their sense of community and hygge (cozy togetherness in enjoying life’s simple pleasures). This can be seen especially in winter as cafes are lit with beautiful stick candles and babies are snuggled up in their prams as parents go for morning walks. Here’s a list of what to do if you find yourself traveling to in Copenhagen in the winter.

Start with a delicious breakfast of eggs and pancakes and a candlelit coffee at the Next Door Cafe in the center of downtown Copenhagen before climbing the Round Tower for views of the city skyline.

Next, head to the Nyhavn Waterfront to see the most beautiful rainbow houses and views of the boats in the harbor before taking a coffee at Bang & Jensen.

For dinner and drinks, head to Copenhagen Brew Pub. They have delicious fresh fish and filling sides of fried mashed potatoes, along with local micro brewed beers. Afterwards, go out in the Meatpacking District and head back to bed at the amazing and affordable Steelhouse Copenhagen.
